Ageing and volume loss

Ageing skin and volume loss

This is not about looking younger. It is about looking like you again. Your cheeks look flatter, your eyes seem heavier, your skin does not bounce back the way it used to. That is not about fine lines. It is about facial structure, and how it shifts beneath the surface.

What you are not being told about ageing

Most people are told ageing is about wrinkles. It is not. Facial ageing starts underneath, in the layers that hold everything up.

  • Fat pads shrink and shift position.
  • Ligaments loosen.
  • Bone density changes.
  • Skin thins and loses elasticity.

That is why filler does not always work, or worse, makes people look done. You are replacing volume in a face that is structurally unstable.

2

Why we use regenerative treatment, not just filler

Instead of patching over the surface, we support your face to regenerate what it has lost, in step with your anatomy.

  • Exosomes, to stimulate new collagen.
  • Radiofrequency microneedling, to tighten and rebuild dermal structure.
  • Laser genesis, to stimulate fibroblasts and improve skin density.
  • Electroporation, to deliver actives deeply without damaging the skin.
  • Tissue-stimulating injectables where appropriate, rather than volumisers.

Where structure is genuinely too compromised, we may rebuild using ultrasound-guided filler, but only when the face is ready for it.

3

How we assess your face

We do not guess where volume has been lost, and we do not copy someone else’s treatment. Every ageing face has a different pattern.

  • Vectra 3D imaging, to analyse facial proportion, symmetry and volume loss.
  • Observ and skin measurement, to assess thinning, density and texture change.
  • A facial mapping consultation, to assess ligament laxity and fat pad position.

Most of our patients say the same thing. I do not want to look young, I just want to look like myself again.

4

Your plan, in phases

Once we understand your structure we rebuild support in stages. No filler packages, no copy-paste protocol.

  • Rebuild skin strength: radiofrequency microneedling, laser genesis, exosomes via electroporation, and LED for vascular health and healing.
  • Support structural lift: midface support, ligament tension at the jawline and temples, and the attachment points around the mouth.
  • Restore volume only if needed, using ultrasound guidance, and only after the skin is stable.

The goal is never to change your face. It is to help you recognise it again.

Questions, answered

Because volume is often not the actual problem. If the structure underneath has shifted, adding volume on top is what produces the overfilled look people are trying to avoid. We assess structure first and treat volume last, if at all.

That is what we are trying to avoid. Regenerative treatment builds change over weeks rather than delivering it in an afternoon, which is exactly why it reads as you looking well rather than treated.

Collagen work is slow by nature. Most people see meaningful change over eight to twelve weeks, and it continues after that. If you want an immediate change, we will tell you honestly that this is not that treatment.

Regularly. If the skin is inflamed, if the structure is unstable, or if there is existing filler that needs assessing first, then adding more is the wrong move. We will say so.

Yes, and we would scan you first. Existing filler changes what is safe to do and where. It also sometimes explains the heaviness people attribute to ageing.
